Redbreast PX Edition is part of the Iberian Series, a tribute to the influence of Spanish oak on Irish whiskey. This expression begins with traditional single pot still distillate crafted from a mash of malted and unmalted barley. It is initially matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks before undergoing a secondary finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This final step imparts luxurious sweetness and a rich, rounded character to the whiskey.
