From the highlands of Atotonilco El Alto, Purasangre Tequila Añejo is an additive-free tequila masterpiece by native highlander, Master Distiller Enrique Fonseca. Implementing a distinctive dual-distillation technique, the earthy agave is first processed in stainless steel alembic pot stills and then further refined in copper pots. This meticulous process results in a tequila that perfectly captures the essence of the region, with a rich, balanced profile and pronounced agave flavor, characteristic of Atotonilco’s 5,200’ elevation. True to the Casa Xalixco tradition, the añejo is aged in premium French oak casks, adding another layer of sophistication to its taste. Celebrated with a Gold Medal and a commendable 94 points at BTI 2013.
