40% ABV | 100% Estate-Grown Blue Weber Agave | Aged 2–3 Years | Highland Tequila | Additive-Free
El Tesoro Añejo Tequila is a bold yet elegant expression that reflects the deep heritage of La Alteña Distillery in Jalisco’s Highlands. Made from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, each piña is hand-harvested at peak maturity and slow-roasted in traditional stone ovens to unlock its natural sweetness.
After being crushed using a two-ton tahona stone, the agave juice is naturally fermented and double-distilled to retain its rich character. The spirit is then aged between two and three years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, giving it a deep, golden hue and complex flavor profile. Unlike many aged tequilas, El Tesoro Añejo preserves the agave’s full expression, balancing oak influence with traditional tequila purity.
Nose: Warm vanilla, roasted agave, light oak, and toasted coconut.Palate: Rich and smooth with layered flavors of cooked agave, sweet toffee, baking spices, and subtle pepper.Finish: Long and well-rounded with notes of caramelized sugar, agave, and oak tannin.
Aged 2–3 Years: Mellowed in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for complexity and smoothness.
Estate-Grown Agave: Sourced from the high-altitude fields surrounding La Alteña.
Tahona-Crushed: Traditional stone milling preserves full agave flavor.
Zero Additives: No sweeteners or coloring — just pure aged tequila.
Heritage Brand: Produced by the legendary Camarena family since 1937.
El Tesoro Añejo is best savored neat or with a single cube to let the flavors unfold gradually. Its rich, oak-forward profile also makes it ideal for a luxurious tequila Old Fashioned or to sip alongside charcuterie, grilled meats, or dark chocolate.
