40% ABV | Aged Minimum 4 Years | Pays d’Auge AOC | French Apple Brandy | VSOP
Busnel Calvados Pays d’Auge AOC VSOP is a refined apple brandy made in the prestigious Pays d’Auge region of Normandy, France. This VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) expression is a blend of Calvados aged for at least four years in French oak barrels, allowing the fruit-forward character to mellow and develop with toasted spice and wood tones.
Made exclusively from cider apples, the spirit undergoes double distillation in copper pot stills as required by the AOC designation. The result is a beautifully balanced Calvados with bright orchard fruit, subtle spice, and a round, elegant mouthfeel that works beautifully across sipping, mixing, and culinary applications.
Nose: Ripe apples layered with soft oak and a hint of toast.Palate: Silky and round with flavors of baked apple, cinnamon, and dried fruit.Finish: Warm and lingering with notes of spice and gentle wood tannin.
AOC Pays d’Auge Certified: Distilled in one of the most prestigious Calvados regions, with strict controls on quality and method.
Minimum 4-Year Aging: Aged in oak barrels for at least four years to develop smoothness and layered flavor.
Traditional Double Distillation: Copper pot stills bring depth and complexity to the fruit character.
Extremely Versatile: Enjoy neat, on ice, or in cocktails—and ideal for dessert pairing or flambé cooking.
Classic French Apple Brandy: A staple from one of Normandy’s oldest and most respected Calvados houses.
Serve neat at room temperature (around 20°C) as a digestif, or slightly chilled as an aperitif. Excellent over ice or with a splash of water.
