The founder, Stanislao Cobianchi, envisioned a bottle that would perfectly match the uniqueness of the elixir it held. This required something extraordinary, something unmistakable. Hence, the birth of an iconic bottle design. Over the years, it has been refined, yet it has always retained its distinct vial-like qualities, evoking the enchantment of an alchemical potion.
In 1885, Amaro Montenegro came into existence under the name Elisir Lungavita, and it swiftly gained significant recognition. Eleven years later, to honor the union of Princess Elena of Montenegro and Prince Vittorio Emanuele III, Stanislao chose to dedicate his legendary elixir to her royal highness, renaming it Amaro Montenegro.
